A catch-all functionality that is activated for a specific email mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run some company, for instance. Since you may begin receiving spam email messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without any effort in case you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet surprisingly easy to work with, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one you’ll see a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking on it again will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have a different one with this option enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled without difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in the account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a small-size logo conveniently situated right next to each of them. With just a single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the contextual menu that will come into view. In case any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
